Duc: Japanese Food

My favourite food is a cake from Japan known as “Tiramisu”. I enjoy it because it is tasty and sweet, while the inside is soft and light, but I love it because it was first made for me by my mom and sister, for my last dinner at home.

Firstly, consider its decoration. The whole cake was absolutely eye-catching. Its colour was light-yellow, covered with hot chocolate. On the top of the cake, there was a big, beautiful, chocolate rose and dusted with chocolate flour all around.

Secondly, let’s consider the taste, I ate that cake with my family after my mom and sister spent three hours making it. It was so light and soft, that it actually melted after a second in your mouth. Also, the coffee, hot chocolate, and milk created a perfect combination that was not only sweet, but also a little bit bitter. Another point that made it more delicious is the Champagne. A certain amount of Champagne helps the cake to become sweeter so that you will fall in love with it after one bite.

Last but not least, let’s consider the special feeling of the moment: eating it with my family. My parents told me to study hard and achieve great results, or else it would be a waste of time and money. It was like all their wishes and hopes were transformed inside that cake, and I could feel it. I will never forget the taste of it. Now, when I eat tiramisu, it reminds me of my family waiting for me to graduate and come home to them.
